The Famous Lampe Berger
Lampe Berger is the oldest and most effective way to remove bacteria and odours from the air you breathe. The original Lampe Berger lamp was designed in France in 1898 by pharmaceutical dispenser, Maurice Berger, for use in hospitals as a way of removing air-borne bacteria and combating sepsis.
Redesigned by famous designers, embraced by leading figures from the art community (Coco Chanel, Picasso, Colette and Jean Cocteau), it was then fitted with a perfuming function and gradually became a style icon, appreciated for its sleek design and its delicate fragrances.
The Lampe Berger is a functional and attractive accessory which has spanned the years, purifying indoor air and adding an elegant or contemporary touch to every home.
The primary benefit of the Lampe Berger is the disinfecting action of heating isopropul alcohol to purify the air by breaking down the impurities on a molecular level. The Lampe Berger destroys bacteria and foul odors and increases the oxygen level.
Some of the many benefits to using a Lampe Berger include:
1.The Ozoalcool found in the essential oils generate a natural ozone in the air, removing bacteria and preventing illness.
2. It breaks down second-hand smoke, removing it from the air.
3. It kills dust mites.
4. It prevents mold growth.
5. It removes cooking and bathroom smells as well as pet odors from the air.
6. It releases negative ions, which strengthens the immune system.
7. It repels insects.
8. It removes airborne dust.
9. It can kill fleas.
10. It is pet-friendly.
How to use a Lampe Berger:
Step 1: Fill your Lampe Berger half way with your favourite fragrance or the neutral (odorless) oil. * Tip, for a more mild fragrance you mix the fragrance oil of your choice with the “So Neutral” oil.
Step 2: Once the wick has absorbed some of the fragrance oil and is wet, light the burner by using a match or a lighter.
Step 3: Wait for 2 MINUTES.
Step 4: Gently blow out the flame.
Step 5: Put the slotted cover back on.
Step 6: After 20 MINUTES, remove the slotted cover from the hot burner and replace the top cap over the burner to stop the diffusion process and cap the lamp, effectively turning it off. The burner does not have to be cool before putting the cap back on.
The fragrance will continue to linger for a few more hours
